Knowing that September can be an if-y time of year, but still hoping to have part of their wedding celebration at an outdoor venue, Brandon and Kristen chose to perform their ceremony up Smithfield Canyon. Luckily for them the day was perfect! Rather than a detailed map guests were directed to the actual site by following the engaging signs we posted along the scenic byway.

The field where the ceremony would take place.
Nothing quite sets off an event like the right kind of seating. These fruitwood Chiavari chairs provided by Marcie Taylor Events (formerly Dream Weddings) blended perfectly into the natural setting.

Brandon and Kristen found the most amazing field with this huge panoramic vista. It really required little or no decorating but we came up with a few added touches to frame the ceremony.

A gentle breeze coming down the canyon was just enough to make the flags flutter. They made a striking effect against the sunlit red orchid and manzanita branches... let us know what you think!

The groom did a fantastic job creating this simple but fitting arch! We loved it, nice and rustic.

Most people are looking at the bride but the groom's face is "priceless"

"Love is in the air"

One very talented seamstress custom made all these dresses including the bridal gown. These silk shantung designs by Joylynn Nelson looked stunning in the glow of the afternoon sun.

definitely easier to construct than to install.
