Back Down Under

Just in case you have been wondering we are presently doing quality control on flower production "Down under". Unfortunately we are missing all the fun and frivolity of frolicing in the festive frosty flakes. Why even today we had to make believe our sand slathered sweaty sandals were slipping through snowdrifts instead of salt mines. No worries though. We will be back just in time to wish you all a Happy New Year!!! Hope you have a great Christmas!!!

Vicki and Hailey
This one and the pink one at the top are actually two different varieties of the passion fruit...
yum!!!

Gigantic pink dahlias

You can see why so many of the hydrangeas we use come from New Zealand... they're growing everywhere, and needless to say... they're GORGEOUS!

Very cool Black Succulents ... growing by the masses!

The pohutukawa tree also known as the New Zealand Christmas tree, flowering in full bloom late to mid December, just in time for the holidays.

Ever wonder why fern curls feature in our designs so often? The koru, as it's called, is a symbol of NZ... it represents the newborn, unfurling fern frond and symbolises new life, growth, and strength. It depicts new beginnings, peace and harmony. Likewise marriage is the beginning of your new life together as it unfolds into a magnificent union... ever stretching upward and providing a haven of beauty and continued life to all around it.

We came across this wedding on the beach at Mt Maunganui. The aisle was lined with seashells, and they had a surfboard for the altar. How fun is that!

What better than a "super cool stylish black surfer's Combie Van" for their getaway vehicle

Gotta go green!

One of our favourite spots. Hope you enjoyed this little detour.
